The Department of Sociology wishes to appoint a full time, 3 year fixed term lecturer who would strengthen the basis of both its teaching and research. Applications are particularly invited from those who have teaching and research experience in research methods, particularly quantitative methods.
You will have a PhD, or equivalent, in Sociology or a related discipline. You will have a developing profile of teaching experience in sociology. You will be able to teach social research methods including some aspects of quantitative research. You will also have a developing research profile that complements or extends the work of academic staff within the department. Experience of distance-learning teaching and module production would be advantageous though not essential.
