It is not so much that there is a gap between marketing among academics, as in our theories, concepts, techniques, and ways we go about teaching and research, and marketing as undertaken among practitioners. Rather, it is that we do not reflect carefully enough and in sufficient detail on how marketing among academics and practitioners interact with one another, especially in markets.”
