Bill Maurer
Location
Bill Maurer is Professor of Anthropology and Law, and Associate Dean of Social Sciences, at the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on the anthropology of money, finance and new payments systems. He is currently conducting research on the offshore financial services sector of the Caribbean, and the growing phenomenon of mobile-phone enabled money transfer and savings systems.
