Erin Taylor is an anthropologist specializing in material culture and finance. A Research Fellow at the University of Lisbon, her current project focuses on mobile phones and money in Haiti. She is the author of "Materializing Poverty: How the Poor Transform Their Lives," which explores the relationships that residents of a Dominican squatter settlement have with their material environment and possessions. She is also the Managing Editor of PopAnth: Hot Buttered Humanity.
