Carey Hardin is a Ph.D. candidate in Communication Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill where she focuses on Cultural Studies and Media Studies. her research interests include financial self-management, financial markets, value, cultural theory, media and technology and political economy. She is currently engaged in writing her dissertation entitled "Everyday Arbitrage: A Critique of the Political Economy of Finance". Her article "Finding the 'Neo' in Neoliberalism" is forthcoming in Cultural Studies.
