Paul Langley

Paul Langley studied politics, history and political economy at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He has taught at Northumbria University and the University of York, and is currently Reader in Economic Geography at Durham University. Paul is author of The Everyday Life of Global Finance: Saving and Borrowing in Anglo-America (Oxford University Press, 2008). His present research interests include the consumption of retail financial products, especially as this relates to market-based promises of welfare, wellbeing and security.
