Robert Wosnitzer is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Media, Culture and Communication at New York University. His current research interests include political economy and financialization, cultural economy, media representations of finance, and the socio-technological assemblages within the circuits of finance. He is currently working on his dissertation, "Desk, Firm, God, Country: Proprietary Trading and the Speculative Ethos of Financial Culture," a social history of proprietary trading at US investment banks.
